Typesetting

All major formats, to your specifications

Our multilingual DTP experts are ready to create your brochure or document from scratch, or implement translations into existing files, making sure all hyphens, line breaks and paragraphs reach the reader in perfect condition. Eastern European or Asian languages, Arabic or Farsi, Hindu or Urdu - we take on the complete typesetting process for manuals, brochures, print ads, advertising materials, documents, business cards etc. from design to prepress.

We have multilingual DTP software versions, multilingual software operators and multilingual editors for proofreading the final data sent off to the printer. For example, Farsi, Hebrew and Arabic are typeset from right to left, as these languages are read 'back-to-front' to Western eyes.

If your publication is to be printed in offset, the printing data has to further fulfil certain requirements which we implement into the final data set.

For the prepress stage, high-resolution Print Ready PDF files are created which contain all the required typesetting information every printing house can process.
We also offer vectorisation of type data and delivery of EPS and TIF files.

Some types of documents can also be processed directly using computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools which help to save time and resources. With industry benchmark CAT solution TRADOS 6, PAEN can implement translations directly - and also supply you with Translation Memory™ which will shorten translation times and costs for future projects:

Charges

Several factors determine the costs for a foreign language typesetting solution, among others the target language of the project, source and target format of the DTP file, scope of design work (working into an existing DTP file or creating a new design), translation memory requirements, fonts and the chosen printing solution.

Typesetting services are usually quoted at the beginning of a job to ensure there are no surprises on cost or delivery. We have a reputation in the industry for offering excellent service and turnaround times. PAEN works to your requirements — not ours.
