PAEN Language Services is now a thriving worldwide business but was started on an old laptop on the kitchen table a few short years ago. Like many businesses we’ve grown organically and have had our fair share of all-night work sessions and cold pizzas. But right from day one, we knew that to build a strong business we had to make quality our central commitment. Acting in a professional and fair manner with our employees and clients has always paid off and we’re proud to have a strong reputation in the industry.

Our name...

P-A-E — huh? No, PAEN isn’t an acronym for anything, although Putting in All Effort Necessary or Pleasing All and Exasperating None could fit! The capitalisation was merely a cunning way to stand out in the telephone book and online lists (sorry Telecom!). ‘Paen’ actually means a Greek dance and is also a variation on paean, an old English word meaning ode or song. With such a name we should all be musicians but our talents lie firmly in wordcraft, and our dancing has progressed no further than shuffling from side-to-side holding a beer. So, don’t book us for your next stage extravaganza, but do trust us with your language needs. Because we make it our core business to keep you — our customer — not just satisfied but delighted with our work.
